When We Meet


Classes will run from late September 2015 through April 2016.

Grades K – 6:
Class will meet on Thursdays for 14 weeks of regular classroom instruction. In addition there will be 9 hours of independent study supervised by the program staff to develop lesson plans, a unit study, and weekly reflections. At the end of the 14 weeks there will be one additional discussion session to assess the results of the program.
Each class is 3 hours and meets on Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:30. (60 hours)

Attendance at the annual Limacon conference is mandatory.

Grades 7 – 12:
Class will meet on Wednesdays for 15 weeks of instruction. Three of the classes will meet in our computer lab for hands-on instruction. The object of these 3 classes is to learn how to create PowerPoint presentations, prepare professional looking worksheets/exams in Word, and ways to use Excel, Sketchpad, Geogebra and MathType to enhance your lessons. There will be a total of 9 additional hours of at home assignments.
Each class is 3 hours and meets on Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30. (60 hours)

We expect school districts to award 4 in-service credits for each course.

Classes are free and each teacher participant will receive a nominal stipend pending approval of the New York State Department of Education.
